Treasure Island, Florida is located on the west coast of Florida and is part of the TampaBay area. Treasure Island is in fact, a island. Treasure Island is contected to Madeira Beach to the north by the John's Pass Bridge. The Treasure Island Causeway Brige connects Treasure Island to St. Petersburg to the east. On the south end of the island is the Blind Pass Bridge which connects Treasure Island with St. Pete Beach.

Tropicana Field and downtown St. Petersburg can be easily reached by using the Treasure Island Causeway Bridge and following Central Ave. into St. Petersburg.

Tampa and Sarasota can be reached by using I-275. Northbound to Tampa on ramp is located at 5 Ave. No. and 20 St. No. Southbound ramp to Sarasota is located on 31 St. So.

Treasure Island is located at 27°46′8″N 82°46′6″W / 27.76889°N 82.76833°W / 27.76889; -82.76833 (27.768854, -82.768225).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 13.8 km² (5.3 mi²). 4.1 km² (1.6 mi²) of it is land and 9.7 km² (3.7 mi²) of it (70.11%) is water.
